Opportunities and Challenges of Next Generation Sequencing in Public Health Microbiology
Wellcome Trust Conference Centre, Wellcome Trust Genome Campus, Hinxton, Cambridge CB10 1RQ, UK
25 August 2009 - 28 August 2009
An event addressing bioinformatics research and infectious disease technology relevant to public health bacteriology and virology.
This event will focus on the current and likely impact of the technological explosion in next generation sequencing on public health microbiology, including:
applications in improved understanding of pathogenesis and virulence, diversity and host/pathogen interactions;
applications in improved detection and typing methods, opportunities for whole-genome typing;
bioinformatics and biomedical informatics challenges in making sense of the data mountain and communicating to end users.
Attendance fees range from £281 to £581. To register, use this online form.
