BPAS Fertility is looking to appoint a Gynaecologist to take medical responsibility for its new assisted conception service. This is an exciting opportunity which needs a highly motivated individual prepared to think out of the box and be comfortable with developing an innovative service model which challenges common practice.
This new service has been established in response to both very limited NHS funding and the rising costs of private assisted conception treatment. BPAS Fertility will comprise a full assisted conception service in London and satellite units where nurses/midwives carry out consultations, ultrasound scans and cycle management.
BPAS Fertility is looking for a Gynaecologist with significant experience in working in an assisted conception unit, knowledge of the HFEA Code of Practice, and previous experience in research and teaching. You will have completed subspecialty training in reproductive medicine, and be on the General Medical Council's Specialist Register.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to the shaping of this new service. Joining a team of highly skilled and motivated Nurses, Midwives, Doctors, Embryologists, Administrators and a Counsellor, you will collaboratively provide excellent not-for-profit, patient-centred, evidence-based fertility treatment. There will be opportunities to participate in research projects and in-service development.
