Research Associate at the Early Cancer Institute
Dr Daniel Jacobson is a Volunteer Writer at BioNews, having originally joined the publication under the auspices of its writing scheme. He is now a Research Associate at the Early Cancer Institute at the University of Cambridge, studying the evolution of gastric and oesophageal cancer. Previously, he completed his PhD in computational cancer genetics at University College London (UCL), as part of the UCL-Birkbeck MRC Doctoral Training Partnership, where he was using machine learning and cancer genomics data to study drug sensitivity and resistance in breast cancer. He previously obtained an MSci in Natural Sciences, also at UCL, and is a keen science writer and communicator, as well as a culture writer. He tweets as @DanH_Jacobson.
