Surveying Galton's Legacy

Galton Institute
Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5AG
15 November 2017 - 9.50am-5pm

The Galton Institute's Annual Conference will explore how Francis Galton's work a century ago underlies many novel technologies and ideas in human genetics and heredity today.

We do not shrink from exploring controversial issues such as the genomics of cognitive function or the genetics of intellectual disability, and historical and ethical aspects will also be tackled by eminent speakers.

Attendance is free, but places must be booked in advance by clicking here.

The conference programme can be found here (.pdf 163KB), the themes of the conference are outlined here, and further details of the themes and philosophy of the conference can be found in this recent edition of the Galton Review (.pdf 311KB).
