This satellite event of the Battle of Ideas festival (the festival proper takes place on Saturday 30 October 2010 and Sunday 31 October 2010) will investigate the causes and consequences of a growth in the number of people receiving treatment for mental health problems, and how this relates to diagnosis and to the broader context of cultural trends and an economic recession.
