Institute of Ideas
Royal Society of Medicine, 1 Wimpole Street, London W1G 0AE, UK
18 October 2010 - 7pm-8.30pm An event addressing the relationship between evidence and policy.
This satellite event of the Battle of Ideas festival (the festival proper takes place on Saturday 30 October 2010 and Sunday 31 October 2010) will ask whether medical evidence has become overly politicised, whether preventative health initiatives risk becoming moralism in disguise, and what role the latest evidence should play in the formulation of public health policy.
Speakers at this event include Dr Julian Huppert, Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Cambridge, who has been interviewed by BioNews here.
Attendance fees range from £5 to £7.50. To register, use this online form or contact Geoff Kidder at or on +44 (0)20 7269 9224.
