Dr Vivienne Raper

Dr Vivienne Raper is Assistant Editor of BioNews and at the charity that publishes it, the Progress Educational Trust (PET). She is also a freelance journalist and copywriter specialising in health and science who has been published in the Financial Times, Nursing Times, Science Careers, Biologist, and various local newspapers and specialist biotechnology and pharmaceutical publications. She has an NCTJ preliminary Certificate in Newspaper Journalism and a PhD in imaging and informatics from the University of Bristol. Before going freelance, she worked at De Facto Communications - a healthcare and life science PR agency. She has also interned at Newton's Apple, a non-partisan science policy think tank.
