An event addressing how genetics contributes to our knowledge of the mechanisms of evolutionary change across a wide range of biological systems, from viruses to humans.

In Charles Darwin's day, a lack of understanding of inheritance meant that the theory of evolution was incomplete. 150 years since the publication of On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection (buy this book from Amazon UK or Amazon USA), this crucial gap has been filled by research in genetics.
