A Stroke of Genius

A play at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe inspired by the the true story of the Repository for Germinal Choice, a sperm bank for Nobel Prize winners.

Rural librarian Dora Blake decides that she wants to have a genius child, and plots to blackmail a famous national hero on his upcoming book tour, but first she needs to seduce a young scientist to help her with the finer points of sperm donation and genetic manipulation.

The play is performed daily (except on Monday 17 August and Monday 24 August) from Wednesday 5 August to Monday 31 August inclusive. Performances on 5-7 August cost £5 to attend. Performances on 8-13, 18-20, 25-27 and 31 August cost £8 (£6.50 concessions) to attend. Performances on 14-16, 21-23 and 28-30 August cost £9 (£7.50 concessions) to attend.
