Dr Özge Özkaya

Dr Özge Özkaya is a Volunteer Writer at BioNews, and a freelance science writer. She writes regularly for the charity Epilepsy Research UK and for the Texas-based publication BioNews Services. She has a PhD in Developmental Biology from Queen Mary University of London, and an MSc in Molecular Genetics from the University of Leicester. She spent six years working at the University of Leicester as a postdoctoral research associate in behavioural neuroscience - in the laboratories of Professors Flaviano Giorgini and Charalambos Kyriacou and Dr Ezio Rosato - before moving into science communication.
